We are going to Colorado for a mission trip!  We are going to join other groups in Colorado and aid in the flood relief project this summer.  I am very excited for this opportunity and look forward to sharing my passion for missions and Colorado with all of you!  We will also be spending a day in the mountains at Rocky Mountain National Park!

When:  Friday July 18 though Monday 28, 2014

Where: Lyons, Colorado

Who: 12-18 year olds are welcome! As long as you turn 12 by the beginning of this trip you are welcome to join us on this amazing adventure!

We will have adult chaperones from the church join us and we will drive over a 1,000 miles together to complete this amazing experience!

“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.  I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you” (John 13:14-15).

Jesus makes it clear that we are supposed to have a servant’s heart.  A call to ministering to youth and families means being a servant leader.  This is evident in Jesus’ example from the upper room.  He was ministering to them in a way that they could not for themselves.  As we go forward may we be able to exemplify Christ’s teaching by serving those in our church, community, nation, and world.  This is an embodiment of what God called the disciples to do when He said “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you” (John 13:15).

April 17th- 6pm UCC Church.  Please bring items to assemble your basket for the silent auction.  The baskets need to be themed.
